This circle falls very close to the threshold of Chinese new year. As we say goodbye to the year of the snake and welcome the year of the horse, it could be a chance to reflect on what that means to you.

All Circles in February are £5. I offer this reduced price, while the space is new, and we are building trust as a community.

Women’s sharing circle rooted in the cycles of nature

A place to share, pause and connect.

what is circle?

Circle is a space where we gather together with intention. Our intention is to speak truly freely, be heard without fear or judgement, to listen with curiosity, and to be there with presence. Circle is a space to leave the treadmill of day to day life and simply pause, reflect and connect.

When women come together in Circle, something magical happens. We speak our truth, we learn from the wisdom of other women, together we experience deep connection with ourselves and one another. Circle can be a space for space for celebration, story, reflection, grief, joy or simply silence and rest. There is also never any pressure to speak, often being present is enough.

Circle is not something new, but it is something we may have forgotten. Women have sat in Circle for a millennia, however often in todays busy world we sit behind desks, or around tables in busy environments, we have our phones ready to distract us at any moment. In Circle we sit much like our ancestors would have sat around a fire, telling stories, sharing wisdom.

I have found being in Circle with other women a deeply nourishing experience. I have seen the golden thread that runs between us all, and felt the deep connection that comes from honesty and vulnerability. I have felt inspired and learnt from the wisdom of other women. I invite you to join a circle if this feels like it might resonate for you.

what are rooted. circles?

Rooted Circles bring elements and lessons from nature into our space. We Are Rooted believe we can lean from the wisdom of Mother Nature. We take inspiration from the seasonal cycles of times to grow, rest, connect, support, pause, shine, even grow! Changes in the seasons can mean something to all of us, in circle we pause long enough to really consider how we can align with those changes.

Women were once caretakers of the land, and would live in tune with their intuition. We are not taught how to follow our intuition any more, or live aligned with the cycles of nature. At We Are Rooted Circles we will give a gentle acknowledgement to seasons, the wheel of the year, to the moon and other significant calendar events.

what to expect…

We will arrive and there is tea and some time for greeting each other socially. We will then sit and I will introduce the format of our Circle and some supportive guidance. We will have a grounding mediation to support crossing the threshold into Circle. The Circle is then open to sharing. You may choose to share more than once, you may not share at all, we will all experience deep listening and presence. When it is time to close the Circle we will do it together. You are always welcome to stay for more tea and snack after.

The experience can be different for everyone, and with every circle. Often, women feel deeply connected and uplifted from being in circle together.

guidance for circle…

In circle we listen to each listen to each other with compassion and curiosity

In circle we show up exactly as we are, no masks, we trust our sisters hold no judgement on us and hold no judgement on ourselves

In circle we don’t give any advice or try to fix anyone’s problems, we trust each sister has all they need within them

In circle we keep the space sacred and confidential, we do not share another sisters story outside our space.

We hold compassion for all living beings in Circle. We honour equality and any hate speech is not welcomed.

Circle is not for therapy, I am trained as a circle facilitator but not a therapist.
